The Walking Dead Season 6 Finale - Predictions!

6:16 - Last Day On Earth

"To save one of their own, Rick's group must venture outside the walls. Their experience there will change their lives forever."

I won't waste a lot of time going over the prelude to this. Most or all of you know by now that Negan will arrive in this episode. We also know that he's going to kill one of the core survivors and it'll be the most devastating thing we'll have seen so far in The Walking Dead. Before we get to the climax of the episode though, there's a whole load of other things to clear up. So instead of this being a preview I'll just give some basic predictions for what I think may happen throughout the episode before giving my thoughts on who will meet their tragic end at the hands of Negan and Lucille.

We see from the promo for this episode that Rick and some other survivors encounter a Saviours group on the road. They seem to have someone captured and I've seen people theorize that it may be Morgan but considering there is a pool of blood seen forming below the guy I doubt it'll be anyone of major importance. Presumably the group are attempting to take Maggie to the Hilltop for help, after the pain she was in and the potential loss of the baby. That would be logical and seems the most likely scenario to get all the main protagonists outside the walls and into harms way.

Speaking of Morgan, I think we'll see limited scenes from him but I will say that he'll find Carol and she'll be okay, if not a bit pissed that they've ignored her pleas to not come after her. As for the Saviour that was following them, we may see a confrontation between him and Carol/Morgan, and if it comes to that, I'll go all out and predict that Morgan kills him using the gun Rick gave him in episode 15.

In the promo, there's a chain of walkers with some mementos from Daryl and Michonne attached to them, and I can only assume that the group will encounter them at some point during the episode. Rick is far from stupid though, and the bad day he's having will get worse when it dawns on him that his best friend and new girlfriend have been taken captive. On the topic of Daryl, I believe he'll be in
a bad way, but ultimately fine. Dwight will have shot him on the shoulder and the shock of seeing that blood splatter was just for that - shock. If you see where I'm going, I'd say that's as bad as it's gonna get for Daryl this season. Michonne, Glenn, Daryl and Rosita will likely be taken away and brought out to make a point to Rick when they've all been captured.

Some people are saying that Carol and Morgan will set out and find The Kingdom from the comics. Where I think this is probably going to be the case it won't be hinted in this episode, and only start to unfold when season 7 kicks off later in the year. Would be pretty cool to see Morgan and Carol team up and perhaps get their own episode early in season 7 to see how their relationship grows.

NOW ONTO THE BIG ONE. POTENTIAL MAJOR SPOILERS LIE AHEAD.

I had an idea that we may see Negan in the scene before the opening credits, with a few lines from his epic opening speech to build up hype, only for us to wait the rest of the episode to see the entire scene unfold. Unlikely, but I'd dig it. The most plausible course of action is as follows...

After encountering the group on the road, Rick and the others try desperately to get Maggie to Hilltop, but become surrounded by different Saviours groups. Realising they're outnumbered, the survivors play it safe and stand down. Dwight's group brings out the 4 survivors he has captured, and Rick realises that shit is about to hit the fan, seeing four of his strongest survivors subdued and injured. Then he arrives. Pee-pee-pants city time. Negan strolls in and delivers a speech. Rick is pointed out as the leader and Negan tells him what's going to happen. Then we'll get to the nitty gritty. I'll say it right now guys, if you are expecting to see someone getting their head bashed in right in front of us, it won't happen. As much as I want it to happen, it won't. I think that Negan will play eenie-meenie, with the camera panning to each of the survivors as he goes, before it cuts to POV of the person who is picked, the bat will swing, and the episode will end. Maybe we get a post credits scene where we see Negan walking away and leaving the survivors around their fallen comrade. Who do I think will get it? Easy, I think it'll just simply be Glenn. He seems the most obvious and most logical for it, all things considered. That's all I'll say on it though.

Happy finale day to all you other Deadheads, I'm sure we'll all mourn the loss of one of our beloved ones together. Until next time!
