WWE 2K15 Game Review

Something a bit different here. I had decided on a whim to buy 2K15 the other day and give it a try, despite mixed reports initially about the current gen versions of the game (Xbox 360 and PS3) paling drastically in comparison to their respective upgrade console versions. Realizing that if I waited until I could afford an Xbox One before getting the game, 2K16 would probably be out, I bit the bullet and bought it, and I've got to say, I am chuffed to bits that I made that decision. Instead of rambling on about it though, I'm going to break it down (canny escape a good DX reference) into positives and negatives of the game overall, and then say some things about the different modes. So here is my review of WWE 2K15.

CM Punk Speaks Out

As everyone knows by now, CM Punk spoke out in public for the first time ever on his parting of ways with WWE. It was on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast, and it is available for free from iTunes and such other places. It's a two hour podcast, but it's so interesting that time flies in without you realizing. Well worth taking some time out to give it a listen, particularly if you aren't clued up on the situation, or simply have been waiting all this time to hear what he has to say on the whole ordeal. As we've come to expect from Punk, he doesn't mince his words in the podcast. He tells it exactly how it is, and is brutally honest about the backstage politics at WWE. Some of the things were bizarre and shocking, but lets be honest, we've all suspected, or even straight known, that there was more to the situation than WWE was letting on. As he says right at the beginning, this wasn't a shoot interview at all. He didn't go into this interview with the intention of tarnishing WWE's reputation. In my humblest of opinions, they've done a good enough job doing that themselves in the past, but that's a different story for a different day. The story here is basically Punk recounts the weeks and months leading up to him finally coming to the conclusion that he had fell out of love with wrestling, and that he no longer wanted anything to do with it. Which is heartbreaking. You all know that. Each and every one of us have the same passion for professional wrestling as CM Punk once did, and to think that the biggest company in the world took that passion and turned it into something that he loathed and wanted out of is an absolute tragedy. Anyway, I thought I would run through some vital points from the podcast, just in case you can't find the time to listen to the full thing, although I would encourage you to do so. If you have the time, stop reading this just now, and go and fucking listen to this thing. It is so in-depth, he gives you a first-hand account of everything he was feeling in relation to his work, and ultimately why leaving was the only option left for him in the end. If you've ever been one of those people who have bashed him for giving up, listen to it and have your opinion changed. If, after listening to what he has to say, you still feel as though he was in the wrong, just... what's even the point? So here's some some of the things he had to say.

WWE RAW Review 24/11/14

RAW RAW RAW. Coming off the back of Survivor Series the previous night, with everything that transpired, there was high expectations for this week's RAW. Would the legendary Sting make his first ever live appearance on Monday Night RAW? Would we be introduced to the man who's in charge of running the place from now on? In short, this was the start of a new era in WWE, without The Authority in charge. And what better way to kick that era off... with The Authority. Or as they're known now, just Trips and Steph. They start shouting really loudly and warns us that we'll be begging for them to come back in no time. Blah blah blah.

WWE Survivor Series 2014 Review

Sometimes things can happen in the most obscure times on a wrestling show. Throughout the course of Survivor Series last night, I made it vocally clear that the fact the show was free was all the show was worth. Nowhere near the standard of a Survivor Series. It was pretty very average in all honesty. Then came the main event, and everything that transpired throughout it, and all of a sudden the first two hours of the show became irrelevant. Merely played filler to lead up to what was the best single hour of a WWE event that I've ever seen. It wouldn't be right if I didn't tell you what happened in that two hours though, no matter how soul draining it might have been at times.

WWE Survivor Series 2014 Preview & Predictions

I've got a really good feeling about this. This is probably the first time since Wrestlemania that I've had that nervous/sick/excited feeling in anticipation for a WWE PPV. Only it's not a PPV, is it? It's #FreeFreeFree for all new Network subscribers. Which would be super helpful if we had a Network to subscribe to. But lets not get into that. The reason I'm excited is simply because there's a chance that by the end of this show, The Authority will no longer be in power. It may sound childish, but I really hate those party-pooping, evil-grinning, stupid heads. After all we went through with Daniel Bryan leading up to Wrestlemania, and ultimately having to see them getting the better of the likes of Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, John Cena etc etc. The list goes on. FINALLY there's a chance that they could be gone, and who could blame any fan for not being at least a wee bit buzzing at the prospect. The "Reality Era" patter fell flat on it's face. The "best for business" gimmick has been ran into the ground. It's about time there was a change in authoritative figure. Who, you may ask? Well, I'll get to that, but for now there is a wrestling show to preview.
